China's Polysilicon Output Estimated to Reach 810,000 mt in 2022

SHANGHAI, Aug 26 (SMM) - According to the report of Chinese Securities, Lin Ruhai, the executive vice president of the Silicon Branch of China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association, said that China's polysilicon production capacity was estimated to reach 1.19 million mt in 2022, acounting for 88.3% of the global total. The output of polysilicon in China was forecast to stand at 810,000 mt in 2022, acounting for 85.3% of the global total. Both proportion rates were expected to rise.

Lin also suggested that domestic silicon wafer capacity would achieve 580 GW in 2022, accounting for 99.1% of the global total, and at the same time, the output of silicon wafer was expected to amount to 340 GW, 99.4 % of the global total.
