SHANGHAI, Aug 12 (SMM) - The average operating rate of refined tin in Yunnan and Jiangxi increased significantly on the week.
1. The operating rates in Yunnan increased significantly on the week as expected mainly because some large-sized smelters produced intensively. According to SMM, the production of some smelters has not totally resumed. Therefore, the operating rates in Yunnan is expected to further increase.
2. The operating rates in Jiangxi increased slightly as expected. The large-sized smelters produced stably while the output of other smelters increased.
To sum up, the average operating rates in Yunnan and Jiangxi rose significantly as expected. SMM expects that the average operating rate will continue to increase, but the increase will slow down amid the stable output.
