China Aluminium Wheel Exports Have Little Chance of Improving in July and August

SHANGHAI, Jul 29 (SMM) - According to customs data, China's aluminium wheel exports in June were 71,500 mt, a drop of 6% month-on-month and 10% year-on-year.

SHANGHAI, Jul 29 (SMM) - According to customs data, China's aluminium wheel exports in June were 71,500 mt, a drop of 6% month-on-month and 10% year-on-year.
The United States (22,300 mt), Japan (12,100 mt), Mexico (8,200 mt), South Korea (5,700 mt) and Thailand (4,500 mt) were the top five export destinations. The combined exports to the top five destinations accounted for 74% of the total exports.
According to SMM survey, wheel plants report insufficient orders from both domestic and overseas buyers in July-August, which is the traditional off-season. Therefore, it is expected that the export volume of aluminium wheels will hardly improve in July and August.
