It is reported that many US chip manufacturers, including Intel, are communicating with the US government, hoping to liberalise some of their businesses in China in the proposed chip bill.

SHANGHAI, Jul 19 (SMM) - It is reported that many US chip manufacturers, including Intel, are communicating with the US government, hoping to liberalise some of their businesses in China in the proposed chip bill. People who are familiar with the matter revealed that Intel and the Semiconductor Industry Association (SIA) are lobbying US government officials, wishing to reduce the installation of so-called “guardrails” to allow these semiconductor companies to develop in China.
