SHANGHAI, June 29 (SMM) - In the face of losses, poor sales and falling demand from downstream steel mills, the EMM Innovation Alliance has called on its EMM members across south China and Sichuan Province to take the initiative to close half of their capacity for maintenance in July.
SMM survey found that some EMM plants in south China are planning to reduce their capacity by half, but the majority of others currently have no plans to do so as they have just resumed production and their current output is unstable.
