Rare Earth Market Quiet as a Whole Today with Prices Falling Slightly

SHANGHAI, Jun 23 (SMM) - The prices of PrNd products moved in a narrow range today. The mainstream transaction prices of PrN oxide dropped slightly to 930,000-940,000 yuan/mt, the alloy prices were stable around 1.13-1.15 million yuan/mt. Supported by the supply and cost side, the separation enterprises were hesitant to sell at low prices, but high prices did not appeal the buyers either.

Downstream demand has not seen any obvious improvement, and orders were low. The magnetic material enterprises were not very active in purchasing PrNd alloy.

The mainstream prices of dysprosium oxide were 2.48-2.52 million yuan/mt, and that of terbium oxide stood between 14.2-14.5 million yuan/mt. Market transactions were muted maid sluggish downstream and terminal demand. Gadolinium oxide and gadolinium iron prices were slightly lowered, with fewer inquiries in the market recently.

As of June 23, the mainstream prices of PrNd oxide and alloy were 930,000-940,000 yuan/mt and 1.13-1.15 million yuan/mt respectively. Dysprosium oxide prices were slightly lowered to 2.48-2.52 million yuan/mt, dysprosium metal 3.27-3.3 million yuan/mt, and dysprosium iron 2.48-2.52 million yuan/mt. The mainstream prices of terbium oxide stabilised at 14.2-14.5 million yuan/mt, and terbium metal between 18.1-18.2 million yuan/mt. Gadolinium oxide prices were slightly lowered to 535,000-545,000 yuan/mt, while gadolinium iron prices fell to 505,000-510,000 yuan/mt.
