PrNd Prices Dropped Slightly, Middle and Heavy Rare Earth Declined Slightly

The prices of PrNd products dropped slightly and the demand of downstream and terminal enterprises was weak. Some small and medium-scale magnetic material companies said that the orders were poor and thet were reluctant ro purchase raw materials. The prices of PrNd products dropped today and the market wait-and-see sentiment increased.

SHANGHAI, June 21 (SMM) - The prices of PrNd products dropped slightly and the demand of downstream and terminal enterprises was weak. Some small and medium-scale magnetic material companies said that the orders were poor and thet were reluctant ro purchase raw materials. The prices of PrNd products dropped today and the market wait-and-see sentiment increased. The mainstream prices of PrNd oxide and alloy climbed to 940,000-945,000 yuan/mt and 1.14-1.15 million yuan/mt respectively. The market of middle and heavy rare earth such as dysprosium and terbium dropped slightly.  The mainstream prices of dysprosium oxide, terbium oxide and gadolinium oxide were 2.52-2.55 million yuan/mt, 14.4-14.5 million yuan/mt and 545,000-550,000 yuan/mt respectively.

The mainstream transaction prices of praseodymium-neodymium oxide market stabled at 940,000-945,000 yuan/mt today, and the mainstream transaction prices of praseodymium-neodymium alloy market stabled at 1.14-1.15 million yuan/mt. The mainstream transaction prices of dysprosium oxide declined slightly to 2.52-2.55 million yuan/mt today, the mainstream quotation of dysprosium metal stood at 3.30-3.35 million yuan/mt, and the mainstream transaction prices of DyFe slightly declined to 2.52-2.55 million yuan/mt today. The mainstream transaction prices of terbium oxide was 14.4-14.5 million yuan/mt today, and the mainstream transaction prices of terbium metal stabled at 18.2-18.3 million yuan/mt today. The mainstream transaction prices of gadolinium oxide slightly declined to 545,000-550,000 yuan/mt, and the mainstream transaction prices of GdFe were 510,000-515,000 yuan/mt.

Serra Verde plans to use the funds to refinance existing loan facilities and expand production capacity. The project aims to increase total rare earth oxide production to 6,500 mt per year by 2027.
