Shanghai Municipal Transportation Commission: The Annual Promotion Volume of NEV Stood at 254,000 Units in 2021, a Year-on-Year Increase of 110%

Shanghai Municipal Transportation Commission released the Annual Report on Shanghai Green Transportation Development in 2021.

According to the Report, the annual promotion volume of new energy vehicles in Shanghai in 2021 stood at 254,000 units, a year-on-year increase of 110%, hitting a record high, and the total promotion volume stood at 678,000 units. According to the Report, pure electric vehicles have become the mainstream, with promotion accounting for 68% in 2021. Pure electric vehicles accounting for 51%, and plug-in hybrid vehicles accounting for 49%.

With the continuous enrichment of models in new energy vehicle market in Shanghai, the proportion of private users has increased year by year, reaching to 71%.

In terms of fuel cell vehicles, a total of 1,601 units have been promoted, of which logistics vehicles account for 90%.
