






SHANGHAI, Jun 10 - In May 2022 China consumer price index rose by 2.1% year-on-year. Among them, the prices in urban areas rose 2.1% and rural 2.1%; food prices rose 2.3% and non-food prices rose 2.1%; consumer goods prices rose 3.0% and service prices rose 0.7%. From January to May 2022, domestic consumer price index rose 1.5% compared to the same period last year.
In May, China consumer price index fell by 0.2% month-on-month. Among them, prices in urban areas fell by 0.2% and rural 0.1%; food prices fell by 1.3% and non-food prices rose by 0.1%; consumer goods prices fell by 0.3% and service prices were flat.
