






SHANGHAI, Jun 9 - According to General Administration of Customs, in the first five months of 2022, the total value of China's imports and exports stood at 16.04 trillion yuan, an increase of 8.3% over the same period last year (the same below). Among them, exports were 8.94 trillion yuan, up 11.4%; imports were 7.1 trillion yuan, up 4.7%. And the trade surplus recorded 1.84 trillion yuan, growing by 47.6%. In dollar terms, the total value of China's imports and exports in the first five months was US$2.51 trillion, an increase of 10.3%. Among them, exports were US$1.4 trillion, up 13.5%; imports were US$1.11 trillion, up 6.6%; and the trade surplus was US$290.46 billion, growing by 50.8%.
In May, the total value of China's imports and exports was 3.45 trillion yuan, an increase of 9.6%. Among them, exports were 1.98 trillion yuan, up 15.3%; imports were 1.47 trillion yuan, up 2.8%; and the trade surplus stood at 502.89 billion yuan, widening by 79.1%. In dollar terms, the total value of China's imports and exports in May was US$537.74 billion, an increase of 11.1%. Among them, exports were US$308.25 billion, up 16.9%; imports were US$229.49 billion, up 4.1%; and the trade surplus was US$78.76 billion, expanding 82.3%.
