Pure Nickel Prices Remained High Today and the Spot Transactions were Poor

SHANGHAI, June 7 (SMM) - In the spot market, Jinchuan nickel were quoted at 6,500 -7,000 yuan/mt, with an average price of 6,750 yuan/mt, down 500 yuan/mt from yesterday yuan. NORNICKEL nickel was offered at 6,500 -7,000 yuan/mt, and the average price was 6,750 yuan/mt, down 500 yuan/mt from yesterday. The premiums narrowed slightly today mainly because the SHFE nickel was still at a high level this morning. The absolute spot price was relatively high and the spot transactions were poor. In terms of nickel briquette, the price of  nickel briquette was 223,500-224,500 yuan/mt, up 2,000 yuan from yesterday, mainly because the futures prices rose significantly, while the actual premiums changed little. In addition, as the economy effectiveness of nickel briquette was lower than intermediate products and nickel plates were currently the mainstream alloys raw materials nickel plate, the spot transaction of nickel briquette was poor.
