BMI: Global Battery Production will Exceed 6000GWh in 2031

According to the report released by BMI (Benchmark Mineral Intelligence), at present, the number of battery super factories under construction in the world has exceeded 300.

SHANGHAI, May 31 (SMM) - According to the report released by BMI (Benchmark Mineral Intelligence), at present, the number of battery super factories under construction in the world has exceeded 300. Once all of them are completed, the capacity of lithium batteries will reach 6387.6GWh. BMI survey shows that China accounts for more than 75% of these super factories, and China plans to operate 226 super factories by 2030. It is estimated that by 2031, China will ensure a production capacity of 4500GWh, accounting for 70% of the total capacity around the world.
