SHANGHAI, May 26 (SMM) - Following analysis and evaluation, the European Commission believes that although there are still certain uncertainties in the market, the statutory conditions for suspending anti-dumping measures are no longer met. On May 25, 2022, the European Commission announced the decision to start imposing anti-dumping duties on Chinese-related products after the 9-month extension expires, that is, it plans to resume anti-dumping measures after July 12, 2022. SMM believes that Chinese aluminium foil companies have long anticipated the implementation of anti-dumping by Europe, and have generally taken countermeasures such as replacing customers. Therefore, the EU's restoration of anti-dumping measures on aluminium foil in China is not expected to have a great impact on China's aluminium foil industry. SMM will continue to follow up on the progress of this matter.
