In the short term, the market of silicon-manganese alloy will still in a deadlock with prices moving rangebound.

SHANGHAI, May 26(SMM) - On May 26, spot prices of silicon-manganese 6517 (cash) in the northern market stood at 8,150-8,350 yuan/mt. Spot prices of silicon-manganese 6517 (cash) in the southern market stood at 8,150-8,400 yuan/mt. Silicon-manganese market remained weak. steel bidding has started near the end of the month. Steel bidding prices in south China moved around 8,300 yuan/mt (by acceptance, delivery to factory) and the market were willing to suppress the prices. In addition, the prices varied at the cost side. Coking coal coke prices were weaker while the prices of manganese ore remained stable. The costs remained unchanged in the silicon-manganese market. In the short term, the market of silicon-manganese alloy will still in a deadlock with prices moving rangebound.
