SM 2209 contract opened at 8,180 yuan/mt today, and fluctuated around the daily moving average of 8,205 yuan/mt, and finally closed at 8,238 yuan/mt, down0.79%.

SHANGHAI, May 19 (SMM) - SM 2209 contract opened at 8,180 yuan/mt today, and fluctuated around the daily moving average of 8,205 yuan/mt, and finally closed at 8,238 yuan/mt, down0.79%.
Daily highest price was 8,256 yuan/mt, and the lowest price was 8,150 yuan/mt. The trading volume was 102,678 lots, with daily increase of 10,021 to154,908 lots, and the short position increased. In the spot market, affected by the futures, the spot transaction prices fell. However, the factories were unwilling to lower prices, so the prices basically maintained at 8300yuan/mt. Most of the low-priced supply in the market was made by traders with combination of futures and spot.
