Price CenterDatabaseProReportsEventsCar InsightSHANGHAI, May 19 (SMM) - The Baltic Dry Index rose 94 points, or 3%, to 3,189, its highest level since December 13 last year. The capesize index rose 214 points, or 5.4%, to 4,164, also the highest level in five months. Average daily earnings for capesize vessels rose $1,777 to $34,531. The panamax index rose 73 points, or 2.2%, to 3,327. Average daily earnings for Panamax vessels rose by $649 to $29,939. The Supramax index rose 13 points to 2,758.
