DashboardDatabaseProReportsEventsCar InsightSHANGHAI, May 10 (SMM) – Prices of certain specifications of silicon were slightly lowered today. At Huangpu Port, oxygen-free 553# silicon was traded at at 18,200-18,300 yuan/mt, and 3303# silicon was sold at 21,200-21,400 yuan/mt. Export prices fell recently, and trades were thin. Sluggish domestic silicon market caused overseas buyers to be more cautious about placing orders. In addition, the rapidly changing exchange rate of RMB is also a major reason for the weakening of silicon metal export prices. The difference of FOB offers widened to above $200/mt.
