Prices of Lithium Carbonate and Lithium Hydroxide Stabilised, While the Average Price of Spodumene Concentrate Exceeded $4,000/mt

SHANGHAI, May 6 (SMM) - The SMM average spot price of domestic battery-grade lithium carbonate remained at 461,500 yuan/mt on May 6, and that of battery-grade lithium hydroxide was also maintained at 469,000 yuan/mt.

SHANGHAI, May 6 (SMM) - The SMM average spot price of domestic battery-grade lithium carbonate remained at 461,500 yuan/mt on May 6, and that of battery-grade lithium hydroxide was also maintained at 469,000 yuan/mt. Both remained steady for two consecutive trading days after the holiday.
 However, the SMM spot prices of spodumene concentrate (6%, CIF China) have been rising recently. After Pilbara's spodumene concentrate was auctioned at a high price of $5,650/mt on April 28, spodumene concentrate (6%, CIF China) had been rising at a frequency of $100/mt per day. Today, its spot prices exceeded $4,000/mt, and ranged between $3,980-4,030/mt, with an average price of $4,005/mt, with a cumulative increase of 5.26% in the two days after the holiday.

South Korea’s Ministry of Trade and Industry announced on September 17 that 9 government-level industrial and supply-chain cooperation documents had been signed with five Central Asian countries during meetings held from September 14 to 16.
