SHANGHAI, APR 29 (SMM) - According to SMM survey, the SMM operating rate of primary lead smelter in three provinces this week (April 23 ~ April 29) was 54.8%, down slightly by 0.82% from last week. The raw material supply and crude lead inventory of Henan Yuguang Gold & Lead were sufficient, so the output has recovered. The maintenance of crude lead furnace on last Friday did not affect the output of this week, and the impact is extected to appear in May. The crude lead overhaul of Henan Wanyang Smeltery Group has not been completed, so the production remained slight reduction. The raw materials replenishment of Jiyuan Shibin Industrial Co was completed, and the slight reduction of last week has been restored. Chenzhou City Jingui Silver Industry Co entered the overhaul and shutdown as planned and is expected to resume in mid-May. Shuikoushan Mining Bureau Jinxin Lead Industry Co maintained a slight reduction in output this week, and has completed the supplement of crude lead before the festival. The output is expected to recover during the May Day holiday.
In Yunnan, Mengzi Mineral & Metallurgy Co., Ltd. and Honghe Red Lead Chemical Co., Ltd. extended small reduction in production, as the TCs of concentrate in north China market remained low and the shortage of raw material supply did not improve significantly.

Sluggish Transactions in Domestic Secondary Crude Lead Market, Prices at 15,250-15,400 Yuan/mt
The domestic secondary crude lead market experienced sluggish transactions. As of February 6, 2026, the ex-factory tax-exclusive offers for domestic secondary crude lead stood at 15,250-15,400 yuan/mt. Downstream refined lead and alloy smelters gradually entered the holiday period, showing weak stockpiling willingness. Overseas lead ingot suppliers basically halted transactions with China due to poor consumption in the Chinese market, with only some previously concluded shipments maintaining normal in-transit transportation. The trading atmosphere in the secondary crude lead market will continue to weaken next week.
