The prices of rare earth were stable with strong wait-and-see sentiment in the market as the Labour Day holiday approaches.

SHANGHAI, Apr 27 (SMM) - The prices of rare earth were stable with strong wait-and-see sentiment in the market as the Labour Day holiday approaches.

The prices of PrNd oxide and alloy continued to be weak with less market inquiries. The mainstream prices of Pr-Nd oxide stood between 850,000-855,000 yuan/mt and 852,000 yuan/mt respectively. The mainstream prices of PrNd oxide and alloy stood between 1.045-1.055 million yuan/mt. The mainstream prices of dysprosium oxide stood between 2.58-2.6 million yuan/mt with few market inquiries. The mainstream prices of dysprosium metal stood between 3.4-3.45 million yuan/mt as the prices of dysprosium oxide. The mainstream transaction prices of terbium oxide stabilised at 14.3-14.5 million yuan/mt. The mainstream prices of terbium metal stood between 17.8-18.3 million yuan/mt. The mainstream prices of gadolinium oxide stood between 430,000-440,000 yuan/mt. The mainstream prices of gadolinium iron stood between 440,000-450,000 yuan/mt. The mainstream prices of holmium ferroalloy stood between 1.21-1.26 million yuan/mt while the prices of holmium oxide were stable.

Vietnam Announces New Rules banning the Export of Rare Earth Minerals that Do Not Meet Deep-processing Standards
The Ministry of Agriculture and Environment in Vietnam has issued Consolidated Document No. 21/VBHN-BNNMT, detailing a number of provisions, including regulations on the management of rare earth elements. Specifically, in addition to complying with regulations on strategic and important minerals, the surveying, exploration, exploitation, processing, and use of rare earths must follow the national rare earth usage strategy. Activities related must ensure the principles of resource protection, environmental protection, and sustainable development; link extraction and processing with deep processing to increase added value and ensure technological self-reliance; not export rare earth minerals that have not met the required deep-processing standards; and only export deeply processed products.
