SHANGHAI, Apr 21(SMM) - Tesla CEO Elon Musk said that Tesla plans to expand its electric vehicle battery factory in Nevada, and the company should be able to produce 1.5 million vehicles in 2022;

SHANGHAI, Apr 21(SMM) - Tesla CEO Elon Musk said that Tesla plans to expand its electric vehicle battery factory in Nevada, and the company should be able to produce 1.5 million vehicles in 2022. Lithium mining and refining appears to be the limiting factor for electric vehicle growth. Tesla said supply chain issues will continue into 2022 and vehicle deliveries are expected to grow by an average of 50% annually over the next several years.
