Anshan Group Focused on Three Major Events In the First Quarter

SHANGHAI, Apr 20(SMM) - In the first quarter, Anshan Group has focused on three major events, including economic work, pandemic prevention and control and safety production. The total profit, net profit and output of iron ore concentrate have all hit the best level compared to the same period in previous years. In the first quarter, Anshan Group achieved an operating income of 89.576 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 39.43%; a total profit of 8.305 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 13.2%; a net profit of 6.839 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 13.29%; and output of iron ore concentrate stood at 12.9813 million mt, a year-on-year increase of 3%. The main indicators ranked top in the state-owned enterprises and the steel industry. In the first quarter, Anshan Group paid a total of 4.552 billion yuan in taxes, an increase of 9.02% year-on-year. Among them, the Anshan region paid 1.5 billion yuan in taxes, up 5.71% year-on-year; the Benxi region paid 1.305 billion yuan in taxes, up 50.35% year-on-year. In the first quarter, Anshan Group completed an investment of 3.51 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 88.8%. As a "stabiliser" of state-owned enterprises, Angang Group further enhances its contribution to the local economy.
