On April 2, Ecuador local time, the opening ceremony of large-scale complete sets of mining equipment was held at the 1230m mining platform of Milado Copper Mine of Tongling Nonferrous Group. Brand-new hydraulic shovels and mining dump trucks are lined up neatly in ribbons. The mine's mining and separation engineering designer, mining and stripping project contractor, large equipment suppliers and ECSA leaders and representatives of relevant departments attended the ceremony to witness the important moment of the commissioning of large sets of mining equipment in the mine.

In his speech, Hu Jiandong, party committee secretary and general manager of China Railway Construction Copper Crown Investment Co., Ltd., congratulated the large-scale complete sets of mining equipment on entering the Limilado Copper Mine. He thanked the staff of the participating units and hoped that they would make positive contributions to the high-quality development of the mine by meticulous operation, careful maintenance, careful organization and hand in hand. The opening of large-scale complete sets of mining equipment marks the mine's commitment to strictly fulfill the mining contract, takes a solid step towards a world-class mine, and lays a solid foundation for stable and high production.

After the ceremony, all personnel watched the shoveling and loading and unloading of large sets of mining equipment. When the dump truck unloaded 155 tons of ore into the crushing station at one time, there was warm applause at the scene.

Two sets of large-scale mining equipment, including 2 standard XE4000E hydraulic shovels and 10 XDE260 mine dump trucks, are manufactured by Xugong Group and served in Mirador Copper Mine, with a total value of nearly 300 million yuan. It left Shanghai Port on November 25, 2021 and reached the mine site on January 18, 2022 through 16000 kilometers of land and sea transportation.

The annual mining and stripping capacity of Milado Copper Mine is more than 40 million tons, which is a great test to the quality, performance and efficiency of the equipment. The delivery of XE4000E hydraulic shovel 400t, bucket capacity 23m3 MagneXDE260 mine dump truck rated capacity of 230t, is designed for the annual output of more than 1000 million tons of large-scale open-pit mine transport equipment, has been authorized to invent 13 patents, product performance has reached the international advanced level, is the only independent research and development and mass production of AC electric drive dump truck. It is understood that the XDE260 mine dump truck is 14.8m long, 7.44m high and 9.1m wide, the carton volume reaches 150m3, and the engine power of nearly 2000kW can complete the loading and transportation of 10,000 tons of ore in 15 hours, with significant efficiency and cost advantages.

Mirado Copper Mine practices the concept of made in China, and the key mining equipment is made in China to promote technological progress. The mine uses the world's advanced Φ 7.9m × 13.6m overflow ball mill manufactured by CITIC heavy Industry Machinery Co., Ltd., to drive Chinese manufacturing to South America and the world, and to enhance the international competitiveness of Chinese enterprises and the brand value of Chinese equipment.

At present, according to the principle of "overall planning, classified policy, orderly promotion and benchmarking demonstration", Milado Copper Mine strives to move forward from a modern mine to an intelligent mine, and vigorously develops the research and application of intelligent equipment and intelligent system. Orebody modeling and mining plan are realized by software. The truck dispatching system for open-pit mining is scheduled to be implemented by the end of 2022.
