Output of Magnesium Alloy Stood at 25,500 mt in March, up 10.39% from February

The domestic output of magnesium alloy stood at 25,500 mt in March, up 10.39% MoM and down 22.20% YoY, according to SMM statistics. The output totalled 70,500 mt, a year-on-year decrease of 30.02%.

SHANGHAI, Apr 11(SMM) - The domestic output of magnesium alloy stood at 25,500 mt in March, up 10.39% MoM and down 22.20% YoY, according to SMM statistics. The output totalled 70,500 mt, a year-on-year decrease of 30.02%. The average operating rate of magnesium alloy industry stood at 44.94% in February, up 10.39% MoM and down 25.85% YoY.  Overseas orders of some domestic leading enterprises continued to be strong with high operating rates. Orders of some small factory picked up on the month. Some sales staff said the pandemic dragged down the operating rates of downstream with weak domestic demand. The domestic output of magnesium alloy is expected to grow to 28,000 mt in April after the pandemic ends.
