According to public data, in the company's ongoing project, Argentina's Cauchari-Olaroz Salt Lake plans to have a production capacity of 40,000 tons of lithium carbonate in the first phase and an expansion capacity of not less than 20,000 tons of lithium carbonate equivalent in the second phase. Yang Manying, the company's financial director, responded that "the project will be put into trial production in the second half of 2022." After the completion of the Mahon Phase IV project, the remaining lithium hydroxide capacity will be effectively replenished. for the project, Li Liangbin revealed that it is expected to be completed and put into production in the second half of this year.
In terms of lithium ore resources, Ganfeng lithium industry is also increasing its layout. Li Liangbin told investors at the meeting that the current production capacity of the Goulama lithium mine in Mali is 506000 tons of lithium concentrate per annum in the first phase and will be expanded to 831000 tons in the second phase. At present, the project is operated by the local team of the joint venture company, and Gan Feng will also provide all kinds of support in the construction of the project and strive to put into production as soon as possible.
In addition, Ganfeng Lithium Industry announced on April 6 that it will upgrade the ore processing capacity of the joint venture mine Mt Marion spodumene project. The lithium concentrate capacity of the Mt Marion project will be increased from 450000 tons / year to 600000 tons / year by April this year, and the second phase of capacity expansion will be completed by the end of 2022, when the lithium concentrate can be expanded to 900000 tons / year.
With regard to the Songshugang Tantalum and Niobium Mine project indirectly owned by Xinyu Ganfeng, a subsidiary of Ganfeng Lithium Industry, Li Liangbin responded at the meeting that the capacity construction of the Songshugang project will begin after the project is completed and is expected to take about two years to complete, and the company will also consider building a new supporting production line.
On the other hand, lithium recycling business will also complement the formation of lithium salt plate. In addition to lithium mining and lithium salt construction, from the end of 21 to the beginning of this year, the first batch of Dongfeng E70 electric vehicles equipped with Ganfeng solid-state batteries were officially delivered, and the industrialization of Ganfeng lithium solid-state batteries began.
