Anti-gravity casting Technology of electromagnetic pump for large Hollow Aluminum Alloy Automobile body components to fill the domestic Gap

[anti-gravity casting technology of electromagnetic pump for large hollow aluminum alloy car body components fills the domestic blank] on March 23, 2022, China Foundry Association hosted a project evaluation meeting on "Research and Application of electromagnetic pump Anti-gravity casting Technology for large Hollow Aluminum Alloy car body components" completed by Guangdong Zhaoqing Power Metal Co., Ltd. The project was completed by the technical team of Guangdong Zhaoqing Power Metals Co., Ltd. after more than five years of scientific and technological research. The anti-gravity casting technology of DC electromagnetic pump has been applied to the mass production of large hollow aluminum alloy automobile body components, and has formed remarkable economic and social benefits.

On March 23, 2022, the China Foundry Association hosted the project evaluation meeting of "Research and Application of electromagnetic pump Anti-gravity casting Technology for large Hollow Aluminum Alloy Automobile body components" completed by Guangdong Zhaoqing Power Metal Co., Ltd.

The project was completed by the technical team of Guangdong Zhaoqing Power Metals Co., Ltd. after more than five years of scientific and technological research. The research and development of anti-gravity casting equipment of DC electromagnetic pump and its engineering application technology have been carried out systematically, and many achievements and innovations have been obtained, including the development of anti-gravity casting DC electromagnetic pump. The problems of easy cooling, solidification and blockage of liquid aluminum in the pump channel are solved, and a low resistivity composite electrode composed of conductive ceramics and stainless steel is developed, which ensures the stability of electromagnetic field intensity supplied by high current. The developed DC electromagnetic pump anti-gravity casting device, especially the temperature-controlled quantitative pressure storage greenhouse, reduces the heat loss and temperature reduction of long-distance transmission of liquid aluminum, and realizes mold filling and profile forming of large-scale components under the condition of aluminum alloy pouring at low temperature. the hole defects caused by turbulence, entrainment and solidification shrinkage are reduced, and the grade of X-ray hole is more than ASTM-E155 L2. The actual casting size produced by this technology is 900x370x190 mm, minimum wall thickness 3.4mm, tensile strength 303MPa, yield strength 253MPa, elongation 9.40%. The anti-gravity casting technology of DC electromagnetic pump has been applied to the mass production of large hollow aluminum alloy automobile body components, and has formed remarkable economic and social benefits.

The evaluation committee finally agreed to pass the evaluation of the scientific and technological achievements of the project, believing that "the technology of the project has filled the domestic gap, and the comprehensive technology has reached the international advanced level".
