LME Zinc Inventory Fell to Nearly 20-Month Low, SHFE Zinc Inventory Hit 5-Year High

SHANGHAI, Mar 22 (SMM) - LME zinc inventory entered a downward channel again after rising to a two-and-a-half-month high of 209,175 mt on December 14 last year. LME zinc inventory fell to a new low in nearly 20 months at 140,525 mt on March 14 before climbing to 144,425 mt the next day, but dropped again and stood at 142,975 mt as of now.

In contrast, SHFE zinc inventory continued to rise and increased by 1.58% to 176,507 mt in the week of March 18, setting a new high in nearly five years.
