SHANGHAI, Mar 18 (SMM) - According to SMM research, China manganese output stood at 83,000 mt in February, up 0.99 % MoM and 25.73% YoY.
Manganese plants maintained moderate operating rates in February compared with a month ago, and the production enthusiasm was also high in light of super lucrative profits. In addition, these plants were free from the impact of detailed environmental protection measures.
Dolomite manufacturers in Shanxi experienced production restrictions in the month, hence the prices of dolomite were high. Nonetheless, manganese plants have reserved enough dolomite, according to SMM research.
Based on the current production schedules, there are currently no production cuts in March. And considering relatively high cash flows of plants, manganese output is expected to record 84,000 mt in March amid lucrative profits.
