Tesla's Chinese official website shows that at present, the delivery time of the whole Model 3 series is expected to be as long as 16-20 weeks, that is, the expected delivery time of the 4-5-month; Model Y long-lasting version is 16-20 weeks. The longest waiting time for the rear wheel drive version and the high-performance version of; Model Y has also reached 14 weeks and 16 weeks respectively. According to this calculation, if Tesla Model 3 is ordered now, the pick-up time will be August at the latest.

At the end of January this year, a reporter from the Financial Associated Press reported on the delivery time of Tesla. At that time, the delivery time of Tesla Model 3 and Model Y was 12-16 weeks. This means that the current delivery time of Tesla has been extended by another month, and its 20-week delivery time has also set the longest waiting time for domestic Tesla.

"at present, there are more orders, and the pick-up cycle is indeed relatively long." Tesla, a Chinese insider, told the Financial Associated Press.

It is worth mentioning that although Tesla's Berlin plant was approved on March 4, the mass production schedule is still uncertain, and most of its new cars sold in Europe are supplied by the Shanghai super factory in China. Prior to this, a reporter from the Financial Associated Press has combed and found that Tesla's Shanghai factory showed a certain "rule" in its export supply to the overseas market last year-- domestic at the end of the quarter and overseas at ordinary times.

"it is difficult to describe the importance of this factory [Tesla's Berlin plant] to Europe and the world, but at least it ensures capacity in Europe so that Tesla does not use capacity elsewhere to fill European orders." Dan Ives, an analyst at Wedbush, an investment bank, said after Tesla's Berlin factory was approved.

In order to meet the rising orders, Tesla is also looking for ways to increase production capacity. On February 22nd, the environmental information disclosure platform of Shanghai enterprises and institutions announced the online announcement of the environmental impact report of the first phase of Tesla super factory project (phase I)-spare parts production process improvement project (capacity adjustment).

Tesla said in the report that the purpose of the project is to meet the export needs of enterprises, and it is proposed to increase the production capacity of spare parts by increasing the number of production workshops, increasing the number of workers and increasing the operating rate of equipment. The above projects entered the commissioning period on September 7, 2021. Since October 2021, Tesla has carried out the completion and acceptance monitoring of the first phase of the spare parts project, and is expected to complete the independent acceptance work by the end of February this year.

Tesla's wholesale volume in China fell slightly in February from 5.56 per cent month-on-month, but far below the performance of other brands over the same period, according to the car Federation. This shows that Tesla Shanghai Super Factory has maintained a high operating rate even because of the Spring Festival.
