SHANGHAI, Mar 7 (MM) - On March 7, China’s General Administration of Customs released the import and export data on key commodities in January- February 2022.

SHANGHAI, Mar 7 (MM) - On March 7, China’s General Administration of Customs released the import and export data on key commodities in January- February 2022.

In terms of exports, China exported 8.23 million mt of semi steel products from January to February 2022, down 18.8% YoY. The exports of unwrought aluminium and aluminium semis were 1.03 million mt, an increase of 22.8% over the same period last year.

In terms of imports, China imported 181 million mt of iron ore and concentrates from January to February 2022, flat from a year ago, but the import value declined 36.1%. The imports of coal and lignite were 35.39 million mt, down 14.1% year-on-year. The imports of semi steel products were 2.21 million mt, down 7.9% year-on-year.
