Battery network learned that on March 1, the full-cycle General Technology Research Institute of Ulergy Battery (hereinafter referred to as: research Institute) officially started construction in Wuhan "double carbon Industry demonstration Zone".

According to previous news, in September 2021, Wuhan Weineng Battery Asset Co., Ltd. signed a contract to be stationed in Wuhan Hi-Tech dual-carbon Industry demonstration Zone, and said that the company plans to invest about 100 million yuan to build a battery full-cycle general technology research institute in Optical Valley. As the first comprehensive research institution in the country that aims to fully tap the full-cycle value of power batteries and has the ability of academic exploration, technical research and industrialization, the Research Institute will develop efficient and general-purpose battery technology to enhance the overall value of the battery in the whole cycle. and achieve the landing of the research results.

Specifically, the research institute will cover the research and development of all aspects of battery full-cycle management, including two functional modules: full-level battery material to battery system, high-precision test line, and battery efficient recycling demonstration production line. The construction scale of the first phase of the research institute is more than 8000 tons, and it is expected to be completed and put into use within 2022. After completion, the institute will have more than 40 top technical R & D personnel at home and abroad, as well as more than 100 sets of industry-leading R & D equipment. A variety of R & D talents and cutting-edge equipment will help the Research Institute to make breakthroughs in battery material analysis, failure analysis, battery assessment, recycling and other technical directions.

According to the data, Wuhan Weineng is the world's first digital battery asset operation company jointly built by Xilai Automobile and Ningde Times, which provides power battery services for new energy vehicle owners through cross-border innovation in finance, data and battery technology. The construction of the research institute is undoubtedly an important milestone in the full-cycle management of Wuhan Xuneng battery.

At the same time, BaaS battery rental service is one of the core products of Wuhan Weineng. The main purpose of the product is to make full use of the battery replaceable design of car customers and the formed national exchange power station network system to provide end users with a "rechargeable and upgradable" battery service mode. it has vigorously promoted the vigorous development of the new energy vehicle market.
