HPDMC is mainly used in lithium battery electrolyte. As one of the four key materials of lithium battery, electrolyte is mainly used in new energy vehicles, 3C digital and energy storage fields.
Specifically, Uber signed a 100000 t / a DMC technology license agreement with the company in December 2020, allowing the company to produce DMC in China. Based on the company's 20,000t / a high purity C "H" O product plan, UBU licenses the technology and know-how of producing HPDMC using DMC, which it holds, owns and has the right to grant to other parties, to build and operate HPDMC devices and produce HPDMC.
According to the agreement, the license fee amounts to 300 million yen (equivalent to about 16.44 million yuan), which shall be paid in four installments according to the agreement; the term of the technical license shall take effect after the date on which this agreement is signed by both parties and is valid for 20 years from February 25th, 2022.
In September 2021, Weiyuan shares were successfully listed on the main board of the Shanghai Stock Exchange. The 20, 000-ton / year high-purity C / H / O production capacity is part of the company's 100000-ton / year high-purity C / H / O project. It is reported that after the completion of the "100000 tons / year high purity C / H / O project", 52000 tons / year can meet the company's existing polycarbonate project, solve the bottleneck of raw materials, and strengthen the self-protection capacity of raw materials; the remaining 48000 tons / year can be sold to the outside world.
Weiyuan shares said that if this agreement is implemented, the company will add high-purity C "H" O "products, further enrich the company's product structure, marking an important step in the field of lithium battery electrolyte.
