Domestic self-developed 13MW offshore wind turbine has been successfully offline.

Published: Feb 25, 2022 09:40

On February 22, the 13 MW anti-Taiwan wind turbine, independently developed by China Dongfang Electric Group Co., Ltd., with completely independent intellectual property rights, was successfully offline in Fujian three Gorges Offshore Wind Power Industrial Park. This is the largest wind turbine with the largest impeller diameter in Asia, which has been offline in China, and it is also the first 13 MW wind turbine to be offline in China.

The localization rate of 13 MW offshore wind turbines has reached 90%. The 13 MW offshore wind turbine is aimed at Fujian, Guangdong and other category I wind areas, and is developed based on a mass put into operation and technologically mature 10 MW offshore direct drive platform. The rated power is increased by 30%, and the impeller diameter is increased from 185m to 211m. At the average wind speed of 10m / s, the available hours are more than 4100 hours. Zheng Dazhou, deputy general manager of Dongfang Electric Wind Power Co., Ltd., said that with a 1 million kilowatt project, compared with 10 megawatt units, the selection of 13 megawatt wind turbines can reduce 23 stands and save the project cost of about 500 million yuan. it will effectively reduce the cost of kilowatt-hour electricity, improve the rate of return on investment of owners, and effectively promote offshore wind power to achieve affordable access to the Internet.

It is understood that the hub center height of the 13-megawatt wind turbine is 130m, and the wind turbine sweep area is 35000 square meters. under the design wind speed, each turn can generate 22.8kWh, and a single unit can output 50 million kilowatt-hours of clean electricity per year, which can meet the normal electricity consumption of 25000 families of three a year, reduce coal consumption by 15000 tons, and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 38000 tons. It has remarkable effect of energy saving and emission reduction. Its application can also promote the upgrading of the whole wind power industry chain, promote the development of large-scale domestic hoisting equipment, installation, operation and maintenance, promote the adjustment and transformation of China's energy structure, and promote the realization of the grand goal of "double carbon".
