Most Ferrous Metals Prices Rose in Morning Trade, with Iron Ore Prices Increasing by 1.78%

The minutes of the US Fed meeting in January fell short of expectations, and the US dollar fell slightly in early trading today. The crude oil dropped slightly because the US-Iran negotiation is expected to reach an agreement.

SHANGHAI, Feb 21 (SMM) - The minutes of the US Fed meeting in January fell short of expectations, and the US dollar fell slightly in early trading today. The crude oil dropped slightly because the US-Iran negotiation is expected to reach an agreement. In the domestic metal market, SHFE nickel, SHFE tin and SHFE copper prices rose. As of 9: 50 a.m., SHFE nickel prices rose by 0.94%, SHFE tin prices rose slightly by 0.21%, while SHFE copper prices stopped falling and rose slightly by 0.03%. Other metals prices all dropped, with SHFE zinc prices falling by 1.25% the most. SHFE lead prices fell by nearly 1%, and the decrease of SHFE aluminium prices narrowed to 0.42%. Most ferrous metals prices rose. Iron ore prices rose straightly after the early trading, up 1.78% as of 9: 50 a. m. Rebar and hot-rolled coil prices both rose more than 1%. The stainless steel prices dropped slightly by 0.35%. Coking coal and coke prices rose by 4.13% and 2.8% respectively. On the overseas market, LME nickel prices rose by 1.57%. LME copper and LME aluminium prices rose slightly. LME lead prices decreased by 0.98%, and LME zinc prices decreased slightly by 0.01%.
