On February 15th, Yongxing material (002756.SZ) announced that it plans to cooperate with Jiangxi tungsten industry to build a lithium carbonate project with an annual output of 20, 000 tons to supply Ningde era (300750.SZ). In this regard, industry analysts told the Financial Associated Press that the main point of lithium extraction of mica is that the raw materials can be controlled independently, and there is no need to be controlled by overseas. at present, domestic lithium mica reserves can theoretically achieve lithium carbonate self-sufficiency.
For this cooperation, Yongxing material announced that it can give full play to its own technology and the resource advantages of Jiangxi tungsten industry. However, some investors are worried about whether the cooperation will affect the progress of the company's own mineral resources development.
The relevant person in charge of the company responded that the company's own resources development progress has not changed, and this cooperation with Jiangxi tungsten industry proves the company's technological advantages, from developing its own minerals to exporting technology is a new attempt in the model, which is conducive to opening up the space for development. It is worth noting that the specific implementation progress of this cooperation project is not clear and there is uncertainty.
The aforementioned analyst said that Yongxing material's tunnel kiln lithium extraction process is relatively leading, which can effectively improve the conversion rate of lithium, and the products have a good reputation in the industry. It is reported that Yongxing's own mineral resources can support the annual production capacity of 50,000 tons of lithium carbonate. The first phase of the company's annual production capacity of 10,000 tons will reach production in July 2020, and the second phase of the annual production capacity of 20,000 tons is expected to be put into production in the first half of 2022.
At present, domestic enterprises mainly engaged in extracting lithium from mica include Yongxing Materials, Nanshi Lithium Power, Feiyu New Energy and Jiangte Motor (002176.SZ). Thanks to the improvement of lithium extraction process, there are data that the production costs of the four enterprises have been reduced from 100000 yuan / ton to 3.5-45000 yuan / ton. Overall, the cost of extracting lithium from mica is between brine and spot purchase of spodumene, and the small production capacity of lithium carbonate from major manufacturers is mainly due to the overall long mining cycle and high uncertainty, the aforementioned analysts said. Compared with direct purchase of spodumene, it is difficult to start quickly in a short time, but capacity planning is also faster in the later stage.
