Seligdar2021, a Russian mining company, increases its annual tin production by about 15%.

[Seligdar2021, a Russian mining company, increased tin production by about 15 per cent a year.] in 2021, the company mined about 585000 tons of ore and processed 544000 tons of it. In 2021, the two mines produced a total of about 2908 metal tons of tin concentrate. The production of Festivalnoye (1651 tons) continues to be higher than that of Pravourmiyskoye (1257 tons), overtaking the latter to become the largest tin mine in Russia in 2020. The increase in production is partly due to improvements in the Solnechnaya concentrator in 2021.

According to its full-year results, Seligdar, a Russian mining company, increased its tin production by about 15 per cent in 2021. The company, through its subsidiary PJSCRusolovo, owns and operates Festivatorinoy and Pravourmiyskoye mines in the Russian far East.

In 2021, the company mined about 585000 tons of ore and processed 544000 tons of it. In 2021, the two mines produced a total of about 2908 metal tons of tin concentrate. The production of Festivalnoye (1651 tons) continues to be higher than that of Pravourmiyskoye (1257 tons), overtaking the latter to become the largest tin mine in Russia in 2020. The increase in production is partly due to improvements in the Solnechnaya concentrator in 2021.

In its annual report, Rusolovo announced plans to install X-ray ore separation technology in Solnechnaya and Pravourmiyskoye in the coming year. This technology will improve the feed grade of the concentrator, remove the waste stone as soon as possible and reduce the processing cost. Seligdar also owns the Pyrkakay deposit in the Chukotka region of northeastern Russia. The deposits contain about 243000 tons of tin and the company plans to start mining in 2028.

Viewpoint: combined with LLC Resursy Malogo Khingana's Khingan Tailings project and JSC Yanolovo's Tirekhtaykh mine production, Russia estimates that about 3900 metal tons of tin concentrate will be produced in 2021. Of these, more than 1000 tons are exported to Malaysia and China, while the rest are smelted and refined domestically. ITA expects Seligdar/Rusolovo production to increase in the next few years as the company continues to improve the processing capacity of Solnechnaya concentrators. By 2023, the company aims to achieve a capacity of 400000 tons per year through the Solnechnaya plant.
