The Yulin Municipal Bureau of Science and Technology issued a reply on agreeing to set up the Yulin Engineering and Technology Research Center, in which it agreed to set up a magnesium alloy materials R & D and application engineering and technology research center, and the project application unit is Shenmu Dongfeng Metal magnesium Co., Ltd.

It is understood that Shenmu Dongfeng Metal magnesium Co., Ltd. was founded in June 2004. it is located in Jinjie Industrial Park, the national energy and chemical industry base, and now has an investment of 980 million yuan in fixed assets. Using advanced production equipment, the company has built an annual production line with an annual output of 20, 000 tons of magnesium, 1.6 million tons of blue carbon, 160000 tons of coal tar, 2000 tons of magnesium alloy die castings and 1 × 30MW technical transformation surplus energy power generation project. The products cover blue carbon, tar, metal magnesium, magnesium alloy (ingots, rods), radiator, bicycle wheel hub, electric car wheel hub, home appliance accessories, auto parts and so on. The product quality has reached the IATF16949:2016 quality management system certification.

The company was approved as an independent import and export enterprise by the Ministry of Commerce in March 2005. It was recognized as an enterprise of comprehensive utilization of resources by Shaanxi Resources Comprehensive Identification Committee in 2008. In 2012, the company passed the magnesium industry access of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.
