On the evening of January 22nd, Ganfeng Lithium Industry (002460) announced that Jiangxi Ganfeng Lithium Power Phase II 10GWh new lithium battery project was put into production and the global launch ceremony of Dongfeng-Ganfeng solid-state battery E70 demonstration operation vehicle was held in Xinyu, the fully automatic production line of new 10GWh lithium battery will be put into operation, and the first batch of 50 Dongfeng E70 electric vehicles equipped with Ganfeng solid-state battery have been officially delivered.
According to reports, the second phase of Ganfeng Lithium Electric Power Plant has a total construction area of 330000 square meters and a designed annual production capacity of 10GWH, including production lines such as lithium iron phosphate square hard shell cells, soft package cells and solid-state batteries.
Battery Network noted that in recent years, with the continuous maturity in technology, products and market, Ganfeng Lithium Power has laid out a number of lithium battery projects in Xinyu, Huizhou, Chongqing and other places, involving power, energy storage, consumer electronics, solid-state battery and other fields, and already has the annual production capacity of power and energy storage battery 3GWh, and the project has been put into operation as the largest capacity increase since Ganfeng Lithium Power was founded.
In addition, in the first batch of electric vehicles equipped with Ganfeng lithium solid-state batteries, solid-state batteries use solid materials such as solid electrolyte separators to thoroughly improve battery safety and energy density from the material system dimension. In many tests, the solid-state battery maintains excellent safety characteristics under harsh conditions such as acupuncture, extrusion or high temperature.
