It is planned and designed by Nanchang Nonferrous Metallurgical Design and Research Institute and Luoyang Nonferrous Metallurgical Design and Research Institute, and built by China 15th Metallurgical Corporation. The projects are a copper alloy wire rod production line with an annual output of 320000 tons and a series of projects with an annual output of 200000 tons of high-purity cathode copper, introducing the core technology of Germany Siemark Meyer Company and the new lean oxygen combustion technology of NGL furnace jointly developed by China Ruilin Engineering Technology Co., Ltd. When completed, the project will become a landmark project in China's non-ferrous metal recycling industry.

The copper alloy wire rod production line uses the cathode copper produced by scrap copper as raw materials, rare earth and silver as reinforcement materials, and adopts continuous casting and rolling process to produce 320000 tons of all kinds of copper wire rods per year. The main equipment is all imported from abroad, and its technology has reached the leading level in the world. It has the advantages of energy saving and environmental protection, high degree of mechanization and automation. It is the largest copper wire rod production line in China at present. It is also one of the only two production lines in the world.

The high purity cathode copper production line project adopts NGL (rotary) anode furnace and permanent stainless steel cathode electrolysis technology to build a project with an annual output of 200000 tons of high purity cathode copper using scrap copper as raw materials. NGL furnace has the advantages of high thermal efficiency, low energy consumption, no black smoke pollution, good environmental protection effect, high degree of automation and mechanization, safe operation and relatively low investment. The permanent stainless steel cathode electrolysis process has the advantages of short process, low steam consumption, high current density, large output per unit area and low comprehensive energy consumption index. At the same time, 8800 tons of copper sulfate, 1700 tons of nickel sulfate, 40 tons of silver and 820kg of gold can be extracted from process metabolites.

Since its establishment and operation in May 2005, East China Nonferrous Metals City has absorbed more than 800 businessmen from all over the country. the annual recycling trading volume of scrap copper, lead, stainless steel, aluminum and aluminum alloy, zinc, nickel, tin and other waste non-ferrous metals has reached more than 2 million tons, including more than 400,000 tons of scrap copper. The recycling business radiates all over the country, driving more than 50,000 people engaged in recycling, disassembly, logistics, catering, production and processing, etc., and is the largest collection and distribution base of waste non-ferrous metals north of the Yangtze River in China.
