After TSMC's previous purchase of EUV (extreme Ultraviolet) Weiying system equipment, Intel and ASML jointly announced that they were the first to purchase the next generation of the latest EUV equipment, High-NA, and planned to put it into mass production in 2025.
According to the joint press release of both sides, Intel and ASML have strengthened their cooperation to promote the production of High-NA in 2025. This is Intel's first and first order of ASML's TWINSCAN EXE:5200 system, symbolizing a key step.
ASML did not disclose which semiconductor factory was the first to adopt the next-generation EUV, but it has received four new-generation High-NA EUV (TWINSCAN EXE:5000 orders since 2018, when it was named by the industry as TSMC's first order.
