For all car companies! Ningde era will release the power exchange brand industry chain or what will be affected?

On January 15th, Ningde Times announced that it would hold the launch of Ningde Times EVOGO power exchange brand at 15:30 on January 18.

In response to the above situation, a reporter from the Science and Technology Innovation Board Daily learned from the Ningde era that the power exchange brand will be open to all car companies.

Recently, Ningde era has acted frequently in the field of power exchange. Among them, on August 20, 2021, Ningde Times established time Telegraph Service subsidiary in Xiamen, Fujian Province, as the main body of the power exchange business; on December 20, Ningde Times established time Telegraph (Liaoyuan) Co., Ltd. in Jilin Province; on December 24, Ningde Times signed a cooperation agreement with Guizhou provincial government to build a power exchange network.

China International Capital Corporation research believes that if the power exchange mode is to achieve large-scale landing in the whole market, the standardization of battery boxes is the premise, and the Ningde era, which has an absolutely dominant market share, will be the core participant in the whole power exchange industry.

"at present, the power exchange mode is mainly used in the field of commercial vehicles and travel, but it is not well promoted in the field of private cars, and the more prominent case in car companies is Weilai." Zhang Xiang, a researcher at the Automotive Industry Innovation Research Center of the Northern University of Technology, told Science and Technology Innovation Board Daily that "the battery is a profitable and valuable product, accounting for about 40%, 60% of the vehicle cost." Once the exchange of electricity is standardized, it means that the profit margins and core competitiveness of automobile companies will be affected. "

Another industry insiders told Science and Technology Innovation Board Daily, "Power batteries are the core components of new energy vehicles. If batteries are standardized, car companies may lose their competitiveness and voice in this regard." It is precisely because there are many interest disputes, which has become an important reason why it is difficult to unify battery standards at present. "

As for some car companies, the emergence of "battery manufacturers' layout and power change" may open more imagination for them.

According to Zhang Xiang, a researcher at the Automotive Industry Innovation Research Center of the Northern University of Technology, "for some car companies that do not sell well, with the help of the power exchange business of the Ningde era, they can reduce their own manufacturing costs and simplify the manufacturing process." At the same time, the 'flow effect' of the Ningde era also helps to boost the sales of such car companies. "

Prior to this, in October 2021, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology launched a pilot project for the application of power exchange mode for new energy vehicles, and a total of 11 cities were included in the pilot project. Among them, there are 8 comprehensive application cities, namely, Beijing, Nanjing, Wuhan, Sanya, Chongqing, Changchun, Hefei and Jinan, and 3 heavy truck characteristic categories, namely: Yibin, Tangshan and Baotou.

Under the favorable policy, it should be noted that at present, there are still many problems to be solved in the power exchange mode.

Huaxi Securities Research believes that the current shortcomings of power exchange include: sharp increase in the cost of changing power stations, difficult to guarantee equipment reliability and battery consistency, non-uniform technical standards, difficult to integrate and coordinate the interests of all parties, and so on.

"when battery suppliers layout the power exchange business, economic benefits need to be taken into account. At present, the business model in the field of power exchange is not clear. For now, in addition to the relatively well-funded 'Ning Wang', it may not be possible for other battery manufacturers to layout the power exchange business. " Zhang Xiang, a researcher at the Automotive Industry Innovation Research Center of the Northern University of Technology, said.

From the perspective of enterprise planning, by the end of 2025, the total number of power stations in the world will exceed 4000. Among them, there are about 1000 exchange power stations in the market outside China; Olympic New Energy plans to complete the construction of 10000 exchange power stations within five years; and the State Power Investment plans to increase the total investment scale by 115 billion yuan by 2025, with 4000 new investment in holding exchange power stations and 228000 sets of batteries in the new investment.

China International Capital Corporation research said that the power exchange mode has the advantages of "low cost, high floor efficiency, Electroweb-friendly, echelon utilization", and finally build a new "power exchange-electric vehicle" power system. 2022 will be an important turning point for the commercialization of the exchange power station "0 to 1", which will bring investment opportunities for the corresponding industrial chain.

Soochow Securities Research said that 2022 is the first year of the discharge of the exchange station, and the exchange equipment companies have benefited the most. It is estimated that there will be more than 16000 new power stations in 2025, and the investment in new equipment will exceed 60 billion yuan.
