According to Battery China, in this batch of models, a total of 239 new energy vehicle products have been declared, of which there are only 29 new energy passenger car models, 21 passenger cars and 189 special-purpose vehicles.
In terms of passenger cars, there are 20 pure electric models, 8 plug-in hybrid models and 1 methanol hybrid model.
From the battery type of the new energy passenger car, there are 16 lithium iron phosphate battery models and 11 ternary battery models, and 2 models do not indicate the battery type.
Passenger car battery suppliers, including BYD 8, Ningde era 5 (including SAIC era), Honeycomb Energy 1. However, another 15 models are not marked with battery manufacturers. However, combined with the power system, including Xin Wanda, Ganfeng Lithium, Suzhou Yu and other enterprises also have battery supporting models to declare.
From the perspective of car companies, BYD declared eight models, two BYD Hanchun electric versions, one pure electric BYD E9, and the other five plug-in hybrid models (Han DM-i and Tang DM-i), all of which are lithium iron phosphate batteries, indicating that BYD has almost completely switched to lithium iron phosphate in plug-in hybrid models. Most of the other car companies have applied for only one or two models.
It is worth noting that the pure electric version of Cadillac also appears in this batch, using a ternary battery, the battery supplier information has not been disclosed, the model is SUV. It is reported that the SAIC GM declared Cadillac model has been unveiled at the 2021 Guangzhou Auto Show and started pre-sale in November last year. The pre-sale price of the first model "long-drive luxury version" is 439700 yuan, and the CLTC mileage of the vehicle will reach 650km.
In addition, the second model of Lantu, Dongfeng's high-end new energy brand, the Lantu Dreamer, has also entered this batch of announcements. The model is still an extended-range power version, and the battery is the ternary lithium battery of the Dongfeng era.
In addition, one mini car has been declared in this batch of Zhongdongfeng well-off, Beijing Automobile, Jiangsu Jimai New Energy, Guide car and so on. Among them, Ganfeng Lithium Power is equipped with ternary batteries for Dongfeng well-off scenery MINI.
Prior to this, Battery China learned during the research of Ganfeng Lithium Power that its ternary batteries for pure electric passenger cars are all semi-solid batteries, and according to its planning, it will not provide liquid ternary batteries for passenger cars, and it is speculated that this time it may also be a semi-solid battery (mixed solid-liquid electrolyte lithium battery) for Dongfeng well-off scenery MINI EV minicar.
This also means that Ganfeng Lithium has already equipped the second model with solid-state batteries (in the 351st announcement, the E70, a pure electric car declared by Dongfeng Automobile, is equipped with mixed solid-liquid electrolyte lithium batteries, which is supplied by Jiangxi Ganfeng Lithium Technology Co., Ltd.).
Among the mini-cars, Jimai new energy, guide cars and other mini-cars are all equipped with lithium iron phosphate batteries, while Suzhou Yu's battery information for Beijing automobiles is unknown.
Since SAIC GM Wuling launched the Hongguang MINI EV in July 2020, the car has won the top spot in China's new energy vehicle sales for 16 months in a row, and it has also topped the global new energy vehicle sales champion for many months. Hongguang MINI EV's success has also attracted a large number of followers, according to industry statistics, including SAIC, Dongfeng Xiaokang, Chery, Euler, Changan, Zero run, Reading and other car companies have launched related models.
