In terms of the company's capacity planning, Tibet Mining mentioned that it would continue to increase the capacity of the first phase of the solar energy plan in Zabuye Salt Lake. The grade of this salt lake lithium concentrate is 50% to 70%. Tibet Mining has vowed that the resources and environment around Zabuye Salt Lake can support the company's target of 30,000 tons of production capacity.
It is worth mentioning that on November 1, 2021, Tibet Mining mentioned in the record sheet of investor relations activities that it planned to expand this phase of the project to a design capacity of 10,000 tons.
On December 26, 2021, Tibet Mining replied on the investor interactive platform that the company's existing lithium resources are only Zabuye Salt Lake, and its design capacity is that the Li2CO3 concentrate of Zabuye Mine reaches 8628 tons per year (containing more than 60% lithium carbonate). Due to serious leakage from salt fields and crystal ponds, the design capacity has not been reached. At present, the actual annual output of lithium carbonate concentrate is about 4500-5000T (containing more than 60% lithium carbonate).
In addition to this capacity planning for Zabuye Salt Lake, the EPC+0 contract for the second phase of the 12000-ton lithium carbonate project in Tibet Mining has entered preliminary preparatory work and is expected to start construction in April 2022 and start production in September 2023.
In addition, Tibet Mining has previously signed a 100-ton lithium hydroxide pilot test contract with Jiuwu Hi-Tech. After the pilot test is successful, the construction of a 10,000-ton lithium hydroxide project will be considered in the follow-up.
There is no doubt that in today's era of "rising with lithium", the Tibetan mining industry, which has salt lake resources and makes great efforts to distribute lithium carbonate and lithium hydroxide, has mastered the current wealth and flow code.
