SHANGHAI, Dec 24 (SMM) – Social inventories of silicon metal across Huangpu port, Kunming city and Tianjin port increased 2,000 mt from the previous week to 86,000 mt as of Friday December 24.
The transactions at Tianjing port were sluggish, and the inventory stood basically flat on the week. The inventory at Huangpu port dropped slightly due to lower arrivals. The arrivals in Kunming increased significantly. Although south-west China entered the low-water period, most smelters in this region did not suspend the production. The social inventory of silicon metals is expected to keep rising this week.
