[Musk: investment in the superfactory in Tesla will exceed $10 billion] on December 16th, Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla, said that Tesla will invest more than $10 billion in the new superfactory in Austin, Texas.

"over time, Texas superfactories will invest more than $10 billion, creating at least 20, 000 direct jobs and 100000 indirect jobs," Tesla CEO Elon Musk said on Twitter on December 16. "

According to a recent document, Tesla invested $1 billion in the Texas plant, but this is only a phase of the factory's expenditure.

Musk also mentioned that it is planned that all Tesla factories will have an annual production capacity of 20 million vehicles by 2030.

On the same day, electric car startup Rivian Automotive also said it would build a $5 billion electric car plant in Georgia, its second assembly plant in the United States, with an estimated annual production capacity of 400000 electric vehicles.
