The Operating Rates of Tin Ingots in Yunnan Declined on Week amid Environmental Protection

The overall operating rates fell slightly week on week in Yunnan and Jiangxi. The operating rates of tin ingots in Yunnan declined on the week. According to SMM survey, smelters have cut their output due to environmental protection and the expectations of air pollution in some area of Yunnan. Smelters in other area have not been impacted.

SHANGHAI, Dec 17 (SMM) - The overall operating rates fell slightly week on week in Yunnan and Jiangxi. The operating rates of tin ingots in Yunnan declined on the week. According to SMM survey, smelters have cut their output due to environmental protection and the expectations of air pollution in some area of Yunnan. Smelters in other area have not been impacted.

The operating rates in Yunnan are more likely to recover as the duration of environmental protection will be limited. The operating rates of tin ingots in Jiangxi were unchanged on the week. The production of major smelters stabilised. Some companies that have delayed resuming production last week will return to normal business this week. The operating rates in Jiangxi are expected to rise slightly this week.
