State Council: Zero Tariff Treatment for 98% of Tariff Lines from LDCs

SHANGHAI, Dec 15 - The Tariff Commission of the State Council issued an announcement saying that, in accordance with China's commitment to grant zero tariff treatment to some products from the least developed countries (LDCs), the scope of products from the LDCs with which China has diplomatic relations enjoying preferential tariff rate will be expanded, with zero tariff treatment being applied 98% of the tariff lines originating from the LDCs. The applicable countries and the implementation schedule will be announced by the Tariff Commission of the State Council in accordance with the progress of the exchange of letters between China and the relevant countries.
