It was learned from the Secretariat of Panzhihua Vanadium and Titanium Industry Association that the "hydrochloric acid process titanium dioxide recycling industry chain" technical project independently developed and successfully developed by Panzhihua local enterprises, Panzhihua Quanrui Industrial Co., Ltd. recently officially started work in Panzhihua Vanadium and Titanium Industrial Park.
According to reports, the project has a total investment of 3 billion yuan and strives to form an annual output of 300000 tons during the 14th five-year Plan period. Construction is under way for the first phase of the project, with an annual output of 20, 000 tons and an investment of 300 million yuan.
In order to give full play to the advantages of titanium resources in Panxi and truly realize the sustainable development of the titanium dioxide industry, since 2009, the company has gathered relevant professional and technical personnel to devote itself to the research and development of the comprehensive utilization of vanadium-titanium magnetite and the production process of titanium dioxide by hydrochloric acid process in Panxi area. In April 2017, we carried out the research and development of the process and equipment system for the industrialization of titanium dioxide by hydrochloric acid process. After 12 years of hard work, we have successfully independently developed the production process of titanium dioxide recycling industrial chain by hydrochloric acid process, which is suitable for industrial system.
It is reported that the technological achievements have passed the evaluation of experts' scientific and technological achievements, and the expert group pointed out that through basic research and verification of the construction and operation of pilot production lines, a new and complete industrial chain of titanium dioxide cycle by hydrochloric acid process, which integrates resource recycling and sustainable development, has been formed. After the evaluation, the experts of the evaluation committee agreed that the project reached the international advanced level among the similar technologies in the titanium dioxide industry.
Pu Zhonghua, general manager of Quanrui Company, introduced the main technical innovations of the project: first, it completed the comprehensive utilization of titanium ore resources and the industrial production cycle process of titanium dioxide, and solved the problem of "three wastes" in the production process of titanium dioxide such as sulfuric acid process and chlorination process in the aspect of environmental protection. Second, high-grade rutile coating grade titanium dioxide, high purity titanium dioxide and nanometer titanium dioxide can be produced through the study of original ore activation, pre-reduction of hydrochloric acid atmospheric pressure acidolysis, acid hydrolysis and dephosphorization, atmospheric pressure hydrolysis, titanium dioxide calcination and post-treatment, etc. the quality of rutile titanium dioxide is close to that of chlorination. Third, the industrial-grade pilot production line of hydrochloric acid process titanium dioxide with a monthly production capacity of 7.5T has been formed, and stable and continuous production has been achieved, providing a process technology and design basis for the construction of hydrochloric acid process titanium dioxide cycle industrial chain; fourth, through the complete combination of comprehensive utilization of resources and production process to form a closed cycle, the overall economic benefit is higher than that of sulfuric acid method and chlorination process.
Pu Zhonghua said that the technical advantages of hydrochloric acid titanium dioxide recycling industry chain are wide selection of raw materials, low grade requirements, Panxi rock mine, domestic placer, foreign placer, Panxi medium ore, Panzhihua Iron and Steel ironmaking slag, Panzhihua Iron and Steel blast furnace ash can be used; The production process is shorter, and compared with the sulfuric acid method, nine processes such as sedimentation, vacuum freezing, ferrous separation, hydrolyzed crystal seed preparation, trivalent titanium preparation, bleaching, bleaching, salt treatment and calcined crystal seed preparation are reduced; compared with the internationally recognized hydrochloric acid titanium dioxide production process, the extraction and extractant regeneration processes are reduced; the resource utilization rate is high, and the comprehensive utilization of titanium, iron, silicon dioxide and hydrochloric acid resources is really realized.
The acidolysis process of this system is combined with the mature hydrochloric acid analysis system, and the original use of hydrogen chloride absorption heat generation, continuous liquid acidolysis system finally realizes environmental protection, safety, energy saving and high efficiency. 100% hydrochloric acid is recycled, and there is no liquid waste discharge in the whole system; porous silicon-titanium composites are produced by using acidolysis slag, which can not only purify titanium solution, but also Filter the solid, calcined and post-treatment washing solution of hydrated titanium dioxide to recover titanium dioxide, so that the comprehensive yield of titanium dioxide reaches 100%. Acidolysis slag can produce titanium dioxide for ceramics and porous silicon-titanium composite materials. Ferrous chloride can be roasted by salt spray to produce two kinds of ferric oxide powder with purity greater than 99% and 54%, respectively. The whole system really realizes green environmental protection and no three waste emissions.
