On December 10, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology announced that in order to further strengthen the management of the lithium-ion battery industry and promote the transformation, upgrading and technological progress of the industry, the "Lithium-ion Battery Industry Standard conditions" and the "interim measures for the Administration of Lithium-ion Battery Industry Standard announcement" have been specially revised. After the release of the new edition, the Lithium-ion Battery Industry Standard conditions (2018) and the interim measures for the Administration of Lithium-ion Battery Industry Standard announcement (2018) (announcement No. 5 of 2019 of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology) will be abolished at the same time.
In the Lithium-ion Battery Industry Standard conditions (2021), detailed requirements have been made for the product performance of lithium-ion batteries, cathode materials, anode materials, diaphragms and electrolyte manufacturers. In addition, it is also stated that the production, storage, use, recovery, disposal and disposal of lithium-ion batteries should comply with the relevant safety requirements of laws, regulations and standards, and effective safety control measures should be taken. In addition, enterprises are encouraged to increase the design of resource recovery and comprehensive utilization in the stage of product research and development, and strengthen the comprehensive management of life cycle resources such as the production, sale, use and comprehensive utilization of lithium-ion batteries.
