SHANGHAI, Dec 9 – On December 8, the signing ceremony of Lishen Battery’s new project with annual output of 36Gwh was held in Quanjiao, Chuzhou, Anhui.

The total investment of the project is about 15.2 billion yuan. It is planned to build a lithium-ion battery project with an annual output of 36GWh, and the construction will start in the first quarter of 2022.

Lishen Battery is a domestic long-established lithium battery company. Its new energy business covers two major sectors: consumer sector (3C digital, power tools, electric two-wheelers, etc.) and power sector (power + energy storage).

Lishen Battery has established battery factories in Tianjin, Qingdao, Suzhou and other places and achieved mass production. It has recently started the construction of its base in Wuxi.

On December 4, Lishen Battery announced that the construction of new production lines in Qingdao has started. It is Qingdao Lishen’s first PACK production line, composed of fully automatic module lines and semi-automatic PACK lines. After completion, the annual PACK production capacity will be increased by 2GWh.

On November 16, the Lishen New Energy Industry Base and R&D Center project was launched in Wuxi, Jiangsu. The total investment of the project is 11.2 billion yuan.

The planned annual output of the project is 24GWh lithium-ion power batteries. The project construction is planned to start in 2022 and completed in two phases. The first phase of construction is expected to be completed in 2023. The annual sales of the project are expected to reach 15 billion yuan after it reached the full capacity.
